Leon Osman has been raised as a Liverpool fan and he still is while Liverpool vice-captain Jamie Carragher has been a big Everton fan since his childhood. He admitted he wanted Everton to win the derbies even when he was a Liverpool player.
Liverpool have been struggling to win games at home so far and I think they will because they need a big striker who can head things in the air to break. They are struggling to break hard working defences since they can not find enough spaces.
Everton have one of the best defences of Premier League and they haven't conceeded a single goal in their last five games. Liverpool have kept six clean sheets in their last eight outgoings. I don't believe in statistics but looking at the pitch both defences look solid.
Liverpool will be attacking from start to finish but stubborn Everton defence will do everything to frustrate their local rivals. They know they have to defend very well if they are to get something from this game because they are not good at finding the net. Like I said last week I can only see their goals coming from set-pieces. Therefore under 2.5 goals must be the best choice.
